Installing Nevla on Windows

Two minutes, and one Windows warning that needs a click in a place that is easy to miss. Here is exactly where.

  1. Download the installer

    Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The file is Nevla-Setup.exe, about 78 MB.

    Download Nevla for Windows

  2. Windows will warn you. Click More info.

A blue screen says “Windows protected your PC”. There is no visible Run button yet — the link that reveals it is the small More info under the message.

Step 2 — the More info link is small and easy to miss.

  3. Then click Run anyway

A Run anyway button appears next to “Don't run”. Click it, and the normal installer opens.

Step 3 — Run anyway only exists after More info.

  4. Sign in and start

Open Nevla, enter your email, press Send OTP, type the code from your inbox and press Sign in. New accounts get free trial minutes, so you can try it before paying anything.

  5. Check it can hear the meeting

Nevla listens to system audio — whatever your computer plays — not your microphone. Join the call, and the status beside the box should read Listening with the level meter moving while the other person speaks. If it says “No system audio”, your meeting is playing through a different output device: change it in Windows → Settings → System → Sound.

Why does Windows warn about it? SmartScreen warns about any installer it has not seen many times before, whoever made it. The warning is about reputation, not about anything found in the file. It disappears once the app is code-signed and enough people have installed it.
